Extensions

At Practical Family Homes, we are happy to take on smaller projects, such as an extension to your home. We will come and visit you, discuss your requirements and, subject to agreement, we’ll survey your property with a view to getting your plans drawn up. Once approved, we can make the Planning and Building Control Applications for you, so that works are under way.

The Process

If you decide to engage a local builder to carry out the works on-site, we are happy to visit the site regularly to ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the necessary standards and the planning permission.

Using Sub-Contractors

Alternatively, if required, we can engage various sub-contractors on your behalf to carry out the work, thus relieving you of the draining issues of dealing with all the various people at the same time. That can be from clearing the relevant area of the site, through to the groundworkers, scaffolders, roofers, etc, right to the landscapers.

Signing off by the Warrantors or Local Authority

Once your extension is completed, we can facilitate the signing off by the Warrantors or Local Authority on your behalf, leaving you satisfied with our service and your home enlarged to your pleasure.
